About The Author

Dawn Sewell-Lawson is a dedicated advocate for faith, hope, and community empowerment. She holds dual Masters degrees in Development Studies and Healthcare Administration. However, Dawn’s passion extends far beyond her professional endeavors. As the founder of the F.R.A.M.E Devotional YouTube channel, she has reached thousands with her daily messages of inspiration and encouragement. With over 60,000 views since its launch in March 2023, Dawn’s digital ministry has become a guiding light for many seeking spiritual nourishment in their daily lives.

Raised by a single mother and the first in her family to embrace the Seventh-Day-Adventist faith, Dawn’s journey has been one of searching for truth and living out her Christian convictions. Throughout her life, she has held various leadership positions within her church, including Women’s Ministry Leader and Community Services Leader.

Alongside her husband, Edward, an Elder in their church, Dawn co-founded the ministry “Thus Saith The Lord” in Jamaica. Through this ministry, they have provided resources for evangelical outreaches, baptizing over a thousand people to date.

Dawn’s life motto, “God is always present – but we need to stop and pay attention,” reflects her deep faith and belief in the presence of Jehovah Shammah, her favorite name for God. Her favorite Scripture passage, Deuteronomy 33:25, ‘Your sandals shall be iron and bronze; As your days, so shall your strength be,’ speaks of God’s unwavering strength and protection, serving as a source of comfort and guidance in her life.

Beyond all her achievements, Dawn finds joy in poetry, reading, gardening, and art; above all, she cherishes time with family, especially with the grandchildren. Influenced profoundly by her mother, Patricia Mitchell, Dawn’s life showcases the power of faith, resilience, and the love of God.

So far, Dawn has authored two phenomenal literary gems, Walking in Her Footsteps: Lessons from Mothers in the Bible and Walking in His Footsteps: Lessons from Fathers in the Bible.
